Up at 5:45 to go to the beach

I've been snoozing since  5 am, and  am finally up, and waiting for my coffee to brew. I up because for the play that I am doing in February, the director is shooting two mini shorts to open and close the play with. One is a monologue that the other woman in the play has about a dream/nightmare she has and another that I have about a fantasy I have. Mine is about the beach, and so I am off to meet the director at his house, and then we are driving to a beach called El Matador to shoot the short at 8am. Apparently the last 2 days it's been even warmer at the beach than in the city...I don't know about at 8am, but we'll see! I have ben taking the metro around the last couple of weeks, because we don't have a car, and it's been totally do-able! Actually enjoyable. The metro is totally clean and I always get a seat. AND I get where I need to going the same time I would driving if not less time! I know that when I start auditioning for sure I'll need a car... ( and maybe I'll prove that wrong too) but for now, "You need a car in L.A." isn't true, (for me).
