The title is a something my girlfriend Paula said to me in an email.Well, it has been a while since I have blogged, and sooo much has happened. I hope you all had a fabulous holiday, where you were able to be with the ones you love! These three pics are from our drive up to Vancouver. The tree is a picture that Dan took on the way back at a gas station in Northern California I believe, the middle is me DRIVING!!!! love it, I learned so much from Dan about life and driving! I learned to not be swayed on the freeway and stick, as safely as I can, to what I intend to do! And the last is a picture of the trees in the backyard at Christmas in Vancouver! Isn't it beautiful?
There was something about putting on our big jackets and bundling up that felt so right! We missed the snow and as my friend Maria told me before we arrived 'you are going to feel right at home' (with all of the snow) and we did!
Now that we are back, we have been full swing into the New Year and what we want to accomplish.
We had a little bit of a time at the border, but after awhile, the officer about our age, let us in. Let ME in, I should say, as Dan has his American passport. So we are beginning to file for my Green Card to stay and work here in the U.S.
Sometimes when I think about it it seems so easy, OF COURSE we are going to get it, and then there are other not- so- certain times. And again it's these times when I realize that I really want to stay and fulfill my dreams here. Of course, Dan reminded me that this is a win- win situation, IF for some reason they denied me status here and told us we had to go back home, we WIN too, because we LOVE MONTREAL!!
So, it's a very exciting year ahead.
I feel very fortunate to have started rehearsals on the play Murder in Green Meadows, and so far, I am loving it! It's all actors (and the director is an actor) from the studio where I take class, so we all speak the same language. I haven't enjoyed rehearsals this much in a long time. We open on February 13th, and we are supposed to be off back tomorrow, ahhhh! So spending my time learning lines right now.
It is so crazy to me, that last night, just down the road were the Gloden Globes. Dan was helping me learn lines, and as we have no t.v. we would occasionally check the internet for updates.
I had a beautiful 2 days in Arizona this past weekend. My friend works for UCA cheer and invited me to come and MC the competition. It was so much fun! And at one point, when I was announcing the sponsors, it was like 'I am so doing a voice over gig right now!' I had a lot of fun, and am so appreciative of the chance to give back, (as I used to cheer back in the day) and to create value with my strengths! I had lunch with some of my girlfriends from High School, and spent the afternoon with other fabulous friends from Az! My family down south!
Things are rough financially still, but I am just so determined to change that this year, and look forward to writing of our victory. The beautiful thing is I am happier than I have ever been, so I know in my heart that it's not that money will make me happy.
It feels good to be living my dream, I was telling someone the other day about working in Germany and always wanting to at some point live in Los Angeles and pursue my dreams in Hollywood, and here we are!!!! Yay!
Now I just need to get some people out to see the play!
Working on that...
I am really expanding my life with SGI activities, and encouraging the young women in my Chapter to WIN! Also, Dan just accepted, and was appointed Young Men's Leader in our District, and at the present, is the only young man in our Chapter.
We are polishing our lives to shine in '09!!!!
peace
