Rising to the challenge of leadership

At World Peace Gongyo, on December 13th, I was appointed (after accepting the week before) the leadership position of Vice Young Women's Chapter Leader. In the picture, I am hugging Babe, the Woman's leader for the area, and all together there 5 women appointed that day. I had determined to take on a leadership position here in L.A. by the end of the year but had no idea it would be this. I am really excited, and determine to talk less, and listen more, as I support the young women in my chapter ( 4 groups of young women). Our Area young women's leader, Kimiko, (who says that Dan and I are the answers to their prayers), says I would have done this anyway- supporting all of these young women. I am Arianna's (pictured below) assistant- Vice. The crap came up, believe me, after accepting the position. This last whole week, has been the hardest and the most gratifying week here yet. With accepting the position, while Dan and I were writing our experience, to and preparing Taryn to receive her Gohonzon- wowowowowowzers!Dan and I have grown so much! I feel the importance of expanding my life condition in a city like L.A. that can try to sway you, and beat you down. I'm getting up again and again. I will not give up on my dreams!
